The Church of Almighty God looks at John 14:6 and denies that Jesus is any longer the way to the Father. Instead, there is a new god, a god of judgment who must be followed and obeyed. Jesus is merely a historical curiosity. Jesus was important for his day but his salvation was inadequate. Jesus forgave sin but he did not eradicate the sin nature. To get into heaven our sin nature must be eradicated by Almighty God. This salvation is found in unwavering obedience to “god” and those who serve her. Only that obedience and harsh judgment will enable the believer to find salvation.
However, Scripture does not suggest that Jesus will be replaced nor does it suggest another incarnation. The Church of Almighty God’s theology is the fabrication of a parasitic group preying on Christianity.
