COGR – As The Wind Blows

COGR – As The Wind Blows

January 30, 2024

Good day! I am writing a series of short reviews of abbreviated COGR video clips. I am looking for input and comments. If it makes it easier, I will be glad to supply a Word document so comments can be put in the document, and we can communicate directly. My email address is lattema@icloud.com. I hope you find these reviews helpful.

Transcript:

And I’ll also say, this is why it required 24 elders. This is why there had to be other laborers at the end of the Gospel day. This is why the last had to become first, or else, in one sense, Abraham’s promise could not have its full real fulfillment.

Well, I have a little bit more to go. We’re saying to you that the loosing of the winds, nothing happens on a specific date, a specific time, at twelve o’clock, one a.m. But I’m advancing to you this morning that essentially, fundamentally, and correctly, the loosing of the winds that you read about in Revelation. The holding of the winds was Brother Layne. The loosing of the winds is done by Brother D.R. Tinsman. And the loosing of the winds happened as he loosed these twelve apostles. We are the winds that he loosed.

And to the pastors and evangelists, I say to you that in us, you are winds that are loosed. In us, you have your loosing. And from us, you get your wind. You say, “Why I’ll get my wind from Jesus.” You are from the throne with the 24 elders. I want to say about that in a moment. Ok?

So, there were 144,000 sealed. So we have said, this is the redeemed of all ages. That’s still true. However, just like brothers preached last night, when the rainbow angel came down with the cloud, and Enoch prophesied saying, “ten thousands of saints.” It includes Hebrews eleven, all those who have been faithful throughout the year, starting at Abel, righteous, Abel, all the way down, and etc.

But it is most particularly, most directly, talking about a remnant of people that saved from nations are all tribes of the earth in our time. It includes the redeemed of all ages. But most directly, pointing to what this seed in this room will become.

Commentary:

Addison makes inappropriate claims bordering on divinity. By this I would refer to a quote made a bit earlier where he identifies the winds. He says:

“What do we say the wind represents, in the scriptures? The Holy Ghost. Ok, so we all agree with that. Say amen, if you agree with that, all right. So, we agree the wind represents the holy ghost. And we can quote scriptures. We’ll namely say in the upper room when the holy ghost fell, there was a sound of a rushing, mighty wind. Is that correct? And so, these angels are holding the wind, they’re holding the holy ghost. Sounds like an interesting picture, doesn’t it? Now, it says, there’s another angel. After he sees these, actually says it’s holding that it should not blow on the earth and the sea. And he sees another angel that essentially says, wait, don’t let that go yet. Then he says, till we, in other words, help me till we have sealed some servants in their forehead. And indication is that once that’s done, then you can let the wind blow.”

In this amazing section, we learn that the winds which are being held back are the Holy Spirit. No other commentator believes that. Other commentators are in agreement that these winds are judgment. But for the sake of demonstrating the ineptness of the speaker and the lack of theological insight held by the group, let’s continue as if we should look further. If the winds are the Holy Spirit, we would have to recognize that the Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity and is God. So, we are to believe that God is being held back by the four angels. And the Apostles can do that because they have been filled with the Holy Spirit enabling them to hold it back. That is mind-boggling; who would have known that God could be held back? In addition, we would wonder why God would want to have himself held back given the redemptive nature of the Holy Spirit. But as if that is not bad enough, Addison Everett goes on to say “We (the apostles) are the wind.” So logically he has claimed that the apostles have become or are the Holy Spirit. Next, he states that those that the ministry has ordained or directed are also winds. And finally, he lets us know right up front that no one is going to get their Holy Spirit from Jesus. Instead, it all comes from the throne with the 24 elders. There you have it. The Apostles are distributing the Holy Spirit. This is epic. If you happen to belong to this group now is the time to slide towards the exit.
